Terms of Service
Last updated: June 29, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ColorPilot desktop application, website, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. What ColorPilot is
ColorPilot analyzes still frames from your footage and uses artificial intelligence to generate editable color grades, which you can refine and export as .cube LUTs for use in editors such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro. ColorPilot is a creative tool; it does not guarantee any particular artistic result.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
4. Free trial & subscription
- The Service is offered as a paid subscription of $9.99 per month, preceded by a 7-day free trial.
- To start the trial you provide a payment method at checkout. You are not charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing.
- If you don't cancel, the subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial and renews monthly until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
5. Payments & refunds
Payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. Prices may change with notice; changes apply to future billing periods. Applicable taxes may be added. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; we may grant refunds at our discretion.
6. Your content
You retain all rights to the footage, images, and grades you create with ColorPilot (“Your Content”). To provide the Service, you grant ColorPilot a limited license to process Your Content — specifically, a downscaled still frame is sent to our AI provider to generate a grade. We do not claim ownership of Your Content, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or to process content you don't have the rights to; reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app; attempt to extract API keys or circumvent usage limits; or interfere with or overload the Service.
8. AI output
Grades are generated by automated systems and provided “as is.” You are responsible for reviewing and approving any output before you use it. We make no guarantee that results will meet your expectations or be error-free.
9. Intellectual property
The ColorPilot software, brand, and website are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ColorPilot and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data, profits, or footage. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date, and material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept them.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
